After breakfast, transfer to the Rongai Gate (2,364m/7,755ft) located on the northern side of Mount Kilimanjaro, the starting point of your trek. Immerse yourself in the lush rainforest, teeming with diverse flora and fauna. Keep an eye out for Colobus monkeys and vibrant bird species. This relatively easy hike leads to Simba Camp (2,600m/8,530ft), your first campsite. Enjoy a delicious dinner and acclimatize to the altitude.

After light breakfast, your second hiking day on Kilimanjaro Mt. Marangu route starts, this day you will hike along the last patches of the mountane forest past the other side of Maundi crater and soon you will reach the moorland vegetation zone. Horombo huts can accommodate 120 people all sleeping in beds and it is like a small village and the only huts on Kilimanjaro with beds. You have one day here for relaxing and acclimatization be prepared as nights here tends to be crazy cold.

A shorter hike today takes you through a dramatic semi-desert landscape.
Witness unique volcanic rock formations and panoramic vistas of the Kenyan plains.

Ascend through more semi-desert terrain to reach Mawenzi Tarn Camp, located near a beautiful glacial lake.
Acclimatization day. You’ll hike up to Mawenzi Tarn 4330m/14,150ft, a beautiful glacial lake located at the foot of the Mawenzi Volcano. This hike is a great way to gain altitude slowly and help your body adjust to the thinner air.

An important acclimatization day! Hike to Mawenzi Tarn (4,330m/14,206ft), a stunning glacial lake nestled at the foot of Mawenzi Peak. This hike aids in altitude adjustment and offers spectacular views. Return to Mawenzi Tarn Camp for the night, Dinner and overnight in tents.

The big day! Begin your summit attempt pre-dawn to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m/19,341ft), the highest point in Africa, by sunrise.
The challenging climb is rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views.
After celebrating your achievement, descend to Horombo Hut (3,720m/12,200ft)
for a well-deserved rest, Dinner and overnight in tents.

Distance: Approx. 19 km
Vegetation type: Low alpine zone, Moorland.
You will have breakfast at Horombo hut before starting your last day down from Kilimanjaro. Hot lunch will be served at Mandara hut (27,00 m), little rest before starting your way, hopeful the path is familiar as you have passed here on your first day.
Reaching Marangu gate, you will provide some details to the register on where you have reached. Certificate for reaching Gilmann’s Point is in green color & gold certificate (big Diploma) for reaching Uhuru Peak the actual summit of Kilimanjaro Mountain. This will be the time for celebration singing & dancing followed by tips session, you may start with potters, cook & lastly the guides.
